Kayaks, Car Shows, and Jet Skis win the prize!
Muskegon, MI – Thousands of photos were submitted to the #ThisIsMuskegon Photo Contest during the month of July.
The Watch Muskegon Campaign organizers are pleased to announce the top 15 finalists and top three winners!

Watch Muskegon Administrator Carla Flanders commented, “We had such an overwhelming amount of images it was
hard to narrow it down to just 15 and even more challenging to pick the top three! We are so thankful to everyone that
submitted photos and shared the beauty, fun and creativity that makes up Muskegon County.”

The Watch Muskegon photo contest encouraged the public to explore Muskegon County and take a picture that
captured their experience. Participants then shared the photo on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag
#ThisIsMuskegon. Bob Lukens, Visit Muskegon Director said, “The contest photos provided a great reflection of our
community. Muskegon is known for outdoor recreation everything from boating, hiking, camping and beach parties
were captured in the photos. The contest increased our social media presence across West Michigan and beyond.”

Listed below are the winning images and the name of the photographer along with the prize package. A panel of judges
comprised of community individuals, photographers and representatives from Mlive, WZZM, FineLine Creative, Watch
Muskegon, Visit Muskegon, Downtown Muskegon Now and the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce.
